My local shop store manager told me that he would give me a deal and give me a autopage rs850lcd for at cost price of $175 + $100 installation. He told me the list price for the system is over $500. I'm new to car security and hoping for some sound advice. Thanks for your time.

you can buy that same alarm system for around $150 so $275 is a good deal. Autopage has the new ones now, 855lcd, so the price is dropping on the 850. My installer wanted $350 to install a comparable Viper, so I'm gonna install my 855lcd myself.
