I have a 90' pathfinder system almost done except i need a sub amp to power 2 Vega series 15's.Q is i would like to run 500-600 watts mono or a 2ch.Would a bigger amp ran unbridged draw less current from the alternator or would it be the same as say a 2ohm load providing the said power.speakers are 4ohm btw.

Hey Phil, if you take 12V x 70A = 840W total. Now if you subtract the power heater/radio/lights etc use, you might end up with 450 - 500W for the amp. I would recommand you get class d amp with a capacitor to drive the subs. It doesn't matter if the amp is mono or 2 channel, what matters is the rms power numbers.
