Alright I have an amp problem,my amp keeps going into protection mode when I turn the vol. up. I know what yall are going to say, yes it is sony and it is prolly crap, but until my RF amp comes in I have to use it. I think maybe it does this now because I found that my power and ground wires are exsposed a little and maybe they touched when I hit a bump in a turn. When I hit the bump the amp cut off and only my sub was playing. The highs are on a Sony xplode 222. COuld that, by my wires touching, be the problem, is the amp bad now? I can put the vol on like 15 but when I turn it past 16 the amp cuts off, also I had it on like 14 for a good while and it cut off. Whats the deal? New amp should be in soon, I think I can wait it out if I cant fix this amp. Thanks in advance. |

if the amp is damaged you could try returning it for RMA repair hard to say if it is damaged without sticking it on the bench with a scope and a dummy load
