jonathan.... do you kno the max watts rms and peak of those amps? (arc,jl xtant) i was thinking about pushing jl 13w7 or RE x.x.x so i need some serious power... thanks for ur info
also now that you know the sub.. would you choose a different amp? |

for a 13W7 stick with a JL 1000/1
its rated for 1Kw RMS @ 1.5 to 4 ohms, where in reality it puts out at least 10-20% more than rated. the W7 is a dual 1.5 ohm coil sub so matching amps is tricky.
The RE is dual 2 ohm coil standard, but can be ordered as dual 4 ohm for an additional $25.
you'll want the dual 4 ohm version, and any amp rated for 1000-1500 watts RMS @ 2 ohms, mono.
If you go dual 2 ohm version, you'll need a stereo amp that puts out that much power into 4 ohms bridged.
