I just purchased a used 2001 Silverado that has all the factory equipment still in it. The front components are pretty much shot. I will EVENTUALLY be replacing everything and add some subs & amps, but for now I can only afford to replace one thing at a time.

I'd like to purchase Image Dynamics CSX6 (2ohm version for future amp consideration)...I'm sure the stock HU won't work with those but am not sure, so if I had to purchase the 4ohm version I will....or should I wait and buy most of this stuff at once and endure the crappy sound quality for another 6 months?

Also, I'd like to know if running components of this quality of of a stock HU will in any way ruin the speakers?
