I have heard MA Audio makes good amps at a reasonable price. Are they reliable and how true are their watts ratings?

I am not sure about other models but the one I find worth buying is HK597. It is a 4 channel amp that's 200W rms at 4 ohms, 400W rms at 2 ohms per channel.
I am currently using MA Audio's 18" sub. It is wicked.

Hey Joseph if you can find an amp that's better for the buck compared to MA Audio's HK597 model, I'd surely like to know.

well i can get the kicker kx850 for about $230 and the rockford fosgate 850 for about $220. I have just had alot of experiece with the chrome amps in my day lol. They just dont perform as good as products that the pros or semi pros use.

Hey Joseph, that kicker amp is a nice one but only one problem. It's a 2 channel amp. The MA Audio was 4 channel at 400W rms x 4 at 2 ohms. If you could get that for $230, it's a great deal. Some are charging $600!
I wouldn't try any other MA model except HK597.

Hey Ivan, higher rms wattage means the amp can put out more power.
