I recently bought two used 12-inch Kicker CVR's in a sealed box and I need to buy a amplifier. I dont know if they are the Dual 2-Ohm or Dual 4-Ohm Voice Coil Component Subs. Does anyone know how I can tell? And im thinking about buying the JBL BP600.1 amp, would this be a good choice for these subs? |

Well if there are two positive and two negative leads on the sub they are DVC and if there is only one pair it's SVC. |

all CVR subs are dual coil. they come in dual 2 and dual 4 ohm models. take tone sub out of the box and look at the magnet to see what it says, or measure with a DMM for resistance. the DC load will be a bit lower than the nominal impedance. a 4 ohm coil usually reads about 3.6 ohms with a meter.

alright i took out the sub and it said dual 2 ohm voice coils. Would the JBL BP600.1 amp be good to power two of these subs? also any suggestions on how to wire the subs to the amp I know the amp has two sets of positive and negative connections, would I use one of the connections for one of the subs and the other for the other sub? diagrams? Thanks. |
