i know this is a strange question but... Are fuses colour coded and if so what are the rating of each different colour? thanks!!

depends on the type of fuse.
ATC/ATO, mini, and Maxi fuses are generally color coded. ANL/ANE, AGC/AGU, and Mega bolt-on fuses aren't.
