I have 2 10' MTX 8000 and a 400 watt mtx amp and a jbl 50 x 2 amp for 6x9's....what gauge wiring kit for the amp should i get? Does the brand of the wire matter like Stinger, Monster Cable, Streetwires, or a off brand? |

500 watts would require a 4ga amp wiring kit. www.knukonceptz.com has them for a very good price. Go with the 'two amp' kit so you get what you need for both amplifiers. Should be under about $50

GlassWolf i looked at the website and all i found was a Complete 4 ga wiring kit, but i didn't find any 2 amp kits. Do i just need a distrubtion block and a ground block? or is there anything else i need? |

ah. they used to sell a 2 amp kit I thought. Maybe I was thinking of their 4 channel amp kit. anyway yeah jsut get the 4ga kit and a dist. block. from the block you can pass through 4ga to the bigger amp, or split down to a short run of 8ga to each of the two amps. ground with the 8ga as well if ya use it for both. if you use a fused dist block you can use a 40A fuse for the 400W amp, and a 15A fuse for the 50Wx2 amp at the block.
