If a 2 or more subs isnt a dual voice coil type, does this mean that it cant be wired in parallel to produce 2 ohms impendance running from a class D mono amp?? thanks!

If you are asking if two SVC subs can be wired in parallel then the answer is yes. If they are two 4 ohm subs then your impedance will then be 2 ohm load.

SVC or DVC is just an option for wiring diversity.
here's a wiring wizard for figuring out how to wire your subs based on number of subs (per channel!) and number and load of coils:
