Newbee question. I have stock speakers with a non stock head unit. I would like to add a little more bass punch. If I use passive crossovers to small subs in trunk and rear speakers ,will I lose alot of volume to the rear and have to adjust fader drasticly? Will splitting signal reduce output back there? Trying to avoid an amp because I'm an old man and don't need to rattle my windows...just a little more punch, thats all I want. I hope someone understands what I'm asking....Thanks

my best suggestion is to add a very small, self-powered sub actually.
It's nothing jaw jarring. It'll just give you the low end you're missing now to round out the system.
look on eBay or at a store for a "basslink" by infinity.
they're pretty cheap on ebay and always a bunch of them for sale brand new there.
that'll give ya what you're after.
the passive filters really won't. they'd be better used to block bass to stop the speakers from bottoming out, and splicing into existing speakers for power would change the load and more likely underpower the speakers, and cause the amp in the factory head unit to burn up.
