I just got my 100.2 off eBay for $69. New, not refurbished. The Lanzar website, seller listing on eBay, as well as a few sites said the amp puts out 90 watts x 2 @ 4 ohms. I planned on using it to power my front speakers which are rated at 80 rms.
I was going to use my 4x65 US Acoustics to power my rear Alpines and Polk sub (175rms). Now that the amp has arrived, the side of the box and owners manual list the amp at 50 watts rms x 2 @ 4 ohms, not 90. I emailed Lanzar and their response was the 50 watt rating is actually the 8 ohms rating and not the 4 ohm. Now I'm really confused! Is there anyone out there currently using this amp who know it's specs?
Is the Opti 100.2 powerfull enough to push 80 watt rms components, or should I run the components off my US Acoustics which is rated at 65 watts rms and use the Opti 100.2 which is rated at 180 watts bridged @ 4 ohms for my sub?
I appreciate any replys.
