I have a problem. I am going to buy a car audio system. I'm going to get (2) Alpine SWS-1242d subwoofers. 300 watts RMS. They are DVC at 4 ohms each. I have read that if i wire them in parallel, i will end up with a 1 ohm load. Now, for the amplifier, the question is, if i buy an amp that puts out 600 watts RMS at 2 ohms, will it match the subwoofers even though they are at 1 ohm. Basically, can i feed 2ohms to 1ohm and still sound good?

you would have to get a 1 ohm stable amp as to not fry an amp that is only 2 ohm stable.
