Im trying to get my bass system together and i was thinking about running two Kicker VR 12s dual voice coil 4ohm subs (they only sell the 4ohm on ebay cant find the 2ohm version) and using the Hifonics BX1500D to power them.... I want to run the amp at 1000watts x 1 at 2ohms...how will this affect the 4ohm subs..?? sorry this is such a newbie quesiotn i just dont get the ohm thing yet but im tryn to learn if you guys can respect that.

dual voice coils at 4 ohms lowers the it to 2 ohms which means you can run it at 2 ohms safely. i probably didnt explain that right but i know what i mean in my head but i cant explain it, im sure glasswolf or johnathan can explain it better than that
