I now have everything to get my system installed except for the 4 channel amp for the front components and the rear midbass drivers. I have the chance to get a JBL P80.4 (40W/channel RMS - 4 ohm) for $150 or I can get an Eclipse (Fujitsu Ten) 3422 for $229.00 Anyone have any information on how these would compare and which would be better for the money? |

the Eclipse is a better amplifier, internally. dual toroidal transformer power supplies, and so forth, but both are good amplifiers. really just depends what you want to spend. I've always liked the construction of Eclipse's amplifiers, since back in the early 90s.

Thanks for that GlassWolf. I didn't want to spend a lot of money as my wife is already groaning about how much I've already spent but the guys downtown have offered to sell the Eclipse to me for $200 so I'm going that way.
