Give me your ideas on this system. I love Alpine Type R's I purchased 3 12" SWR-1241D subs each of them are 300 watts rms I was wondering what amp(s) I should get at a decent price with good quality...Im really not sure how to wire this up or what kind of amp to use. |

Ewww.... they're dual 4 ohm vc subs Jonathan, so you're lookin at at either an 8/3 or 2/3 ohm load. A BP1200.1 would give him about 300 watts each at 8/3 ohm. Yeah that'll work. http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLBP12001Z Thats a factory refurbished item but at $200 a great price regardless. -Fishy

Fishy, remember you're talking about a total of six 4 ohm coils here.. which can be wired in any combination of series and parallel to get your final load if all three subs share the same box. this should give you a bit more flexibility if you want to do the math, in finding a good mean load for the amplifier..
