Hi all,

Been tearing my hair out with a problem I have!! This head unit came with my Ford Galaxy (second hand). I have upgraded the unit in the galaxy now and want to install in my partners ford escort. I have plugged everything in using autoleads conversion loom and I have power but, Although the unit is on when the ignition is on I cannot use any buttons!!! None of them seems to work, I cannot close the front, change the volume or anything. When I insert a cd it plays fine but I cant do anything else!!! is the unit bust or is there a secret trick I have missed!!

All help gratefully received!!!

I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandad,

not screaming in terror like his passengers!!!

if thats the one where the face folds over and the controls are hidden then it may be overheating. i had the same problem with that deck, nothing worked, i'd press the volume and the track would change, all kinds of weird crap. i got it rid of it and got an apline, but i was told that type is notorious for overheating.
