Hey all...I got my hands on a brand new orion HCCA 12 inch, and i gotta get an amp for it. I dont really know anything about this so i need all the advice i can get - Im thinkin about kicker amps (heard there high quality), or boss(there not as expensive)...and audiobahns look awesome, but im really open to suggestions. |

Go with the Kicker if you can get it. Boss sucks. Audiobahn isn't very good either. JBL and Hifonics also make very good, pretty cheap amps. Look into those. |

ok...sounds good, one more question though... Alot of amps say X watts at 4 ohms or X watts at one ohm, I think the hcca is 1200 rms at 2 ohms, how would i get 1200 watts through to it at 2 ohms? or if the amp is rated 1200 watts at 1 ohm, if the subwoofer is 2 ohms does that mean the sub is effectevily giving 600 watts of sound? Like i said, i dont know much. |

if an amp states it puts out 1200 watts @ 1ohm, it most likely puts out around 600 rms at 2 ohms. |
