I have a beat up stock disco, I rarely use the backseats and use the back for hauling, gear etc. I want a decent clean loud setup, probably considered very modest by car audio enthusiasts.
I just ordered a premiere P860 HU. (Stock HU is just a cassette, uses a tiny separate amp), has 2 tweeters, 2 front door speakers, 2 high/rears and a sub...sounds horrible, very weak.
I want to eventually replace the speakers,but the upgrade will be in $tage$. Can the rear speakers significantly add sound quality to the front passengers? If so, what would be a good single amp to drive, 4 speakers,2 tweets and a sub. Is it crazy to consider omitting the rear speakers all together?
