I have to ALpine 1241d 12'' type R's thay can handle 300 watts RMS and i have a rockford 700x amp
Description:
* 350 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms in bridged mode

do you think this is to much power or is it fine. i Have a mustang and it sounded really good with my sony amp which was giving each speaker about 225W x 2 @ 4 Ohms and 300W x 2 @ 2 Ohms do you guys think its a good change?

Well if it sounded 'good' with your sony amp, it will defanetly sound fabulous with a RF amp, the only thing is that if you typr R's are 300W RMS and the amp is only 350W RMS then you underpowering them by almost a whole sub (300W). I would see about wiring a 2 ohm load, but i dont know all the amp spec.
