Would a 1500w Rockford Fosgate Punch P5002 be too much for my Kenwood 700 watt subs? The amp stats are: Max power watts per channel: 1500W @ 2 ohms 500W RMS (continuous) x 1 @ 4 ohms, bridged 250W RMS (continuous) x 2 @ 2 ohms 125W RMS (continuous) x 2 @ 4 ohms Would the 1200 Watt 4-channel rockford fosgate be good for my subs? The new kenwood amps look good too... http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_product_details.jsp?cid=10131 What do you think? |

I have the KFC-3085, they're 8-ohm subs... meh. Ummm... here's the info, they're kinda old but they're pretty nice with my crappy sony 760 watt amp. http://caraudiosecurity.com/catalog/product_info.php+products_id+195+referer+kel koo |

Kenwood doens't make much decent except their eXcelon HU's (and some people argue that). |

which of those rockfords would be better? the 1200 watt 4 channel or the 1500 watt 2 channel. is the 1500 watt too powerful though for my two 700 watt subs? |

Unless you're looking at the Power series of Rockford Fosgate, I wouldn't mess with them. You can get the Kicker KX600.1 for less money. It's a better amp and more powerful. Also the XTANT A6001T and the JBL BP600.1 Ebay is a safe place to buy...just look for sellers with 98% or higher rating. I constantly buy stuff off of ebay, and the worst problem I've had is slow shipping and I had to get a refund once. Good Luck |

Yes, just about anything is better than Sony, actually there's a lot that's as bad. But Sony's name isn't very respectable in car audio. They need to stick with video cameras and TVs and stuff. |
