I have 2 700 watt kenwood subs, and the amp im thinking about getting is rated at:
179 watts RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms
305 watts RMS x 2 @ 2 ohms
612 watts RMS x 1 bridged @ 4 ohms

it says its max power is 1200 watts.

Right now I have an 8 gauge wiring kit rated at 500 watts...

Would a wiring kit that is rated at 800 watts be enough? I don't know if the 800 watts is for the rms or for the max power.

Go to www.knukonceptz.com and get the 4 guage wiring kit, $37.50 after shipping. Extreme quality wire, you're not going to get better wire for 37 bucks.
