first of all im technologically challenged 3 days ago I bought a sony surround including vcr and dvd -- sony dude hooked came over to help hook it up to my tv and satellite. worked perfect.. my little guy got ahold of the remotes when i wasnt home and had some fun hitting the bottons. now i can only get surround on dvd ...it wont come thru satellite please help |

consult the manual. Sony manuals are better than some. Look for speaker sets and surround modes. You may learn a few things by reading the whole manual. If that doesn't work, call the guy who installed it for you |

there should be a way to reset the sony to the factory specs. Usually by holding down the power button while unplugging and plugging in the power cord. Yours could be diffrent so, it is a good idea to read the manual about resetting the receiver. cheers |

the way it sound its like your back to normal stereo , meaning your input got changed from optical/coax to rca ... so you only have to change it back check your manual for input select |
