I've got a Kenwood VR-6070 receiver and 5.1 speaker package. The sub I have has a LFE connection. Do I connect the sub to the receiver using the Pre-Out subwoofer connection on my receiver? Is this the best way to go about it? What kind of settings do I need to adjust on the receiver (6 Ch Setup, SW off)? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

What kind of subwoofer is it? Can you use regular speaker wire. Does it have speaker level inputs? If so, you should use the speaker wire and connect it to the left and right of your main. Speaker wire gives you a more accurate performance. You can use the pre-out via rca from the back of you receiver.

Thanx Gina. Figured it out. Just hooked up my sub (JBL E150P) using a sub cable (RCA) from pre-out on the receiver.
Thanx again.
