So within a month or so I plan on getting the Logitech Z-680s to use as a general theater system. I have a few questions though.
First, is there a system for roughly the same low price (~$225) that may be a better choice(something that is out now or on the horizon) but offers the same features like Dolby Digital and DTS decoding as well as optical and coax input ?
Second, is there a page that maybe shows how to get good setup going in small sized rooms, including using different wires and drilling wholes/using stands for wall placement?
I know these are really dumb questions....but I don't know anything compared to the people on these boards...so I apologize.

I guess it's not a receiver in the typical sense of the word. The control pod works as a decoder and influences speaker timing and volumes...but it isn't exactly a receiver.
