Just got my HDTV cable box but noticed it has a digital COAXIAL OUT connection while my sony dream system receiver/dvd (DAV-FC9) has a digital optical IN conection.

What (specifically) do I need to complete this hookup(and will a chain retailer, ie Best Buy, Circuit City have it)? Also, assuming I can make the connection, I assume I will not need to connect the old red/white L/R audio connections?

I have found the following options:

http://www.copperbox.com/lite/popin...uneek=227419013

for $80 and this:

http://www.radioshack.com/product.a...ct%5Fid=15-1228
for $20 from Radio Shack

I have some concern about the Radio Shack one because of a prior post on this board:

"There is one small problem if you want to convert 5.1 sound from your DVD/satellite system to your DD receiver. This device only converts the signal to PCM, which is only stereo. It would have been nice if it said that on the box and not the instruction paper. I tried it out today and it only seems to output a stereo signal. "

Can someone help explain the price differential and what I need to make sure I complete the appropriaye digital transfer which allows me to enjoy true 5.1 surround sound(when the boradcast allows it)?

Thanks!
