I have a new AVR 230 and I am confused on how to get the optimum performance out of the speakers. It seems there are multiple combinations of speakers with each source, Video 3 for my TV, DVD etc. It does not seem I am getting all speakers used (I only have R and L front, center and subwoofer). I hear sound from each at times with some selections but the process to recognize and set the speakers is confusing to me. I have read one guy who said the system recognized the speakers automatically. I am not sure that is the case. I will add the rear speakers once I understand I am right with what I have. I used to be a good AV guy 20 years ago or so but now it is all greek. Once I get through this issue I will ask help with maximizing the digital inputs from the DVD and out to the TV. Any help will make the picture clearer.
