I realize that CSW is local to San Fran and Boston, but I am looking for feedback on the MC300 (L-C-R), S300 (surround), P1000 (SW) speakers from Cambridge Soundworks.

I am looking for a new HT system, but like to listem to all varieties of music, too. I am planning on getting the Marantz SR7400 - I like the sound of the Marantz receivers. I am planning on a 7.1 setup, and like the Dolby Pro IIx capability of the 7400.

For approximately $1700 total for a 7.1 setup including 2 rear speakers (MC300 or S300) - my room shape dictates these for added depth - are there other speaker options that I should consider?

Speakers you might want to listen to :

Paradigm
Psb
Axiom
Energy

You might want to consider the new Panasonic digital receiver Sa-xr45 - many audiophiles are replacing their expensive amps with this beautiful looking slim piece.
