I wanted to know what is the best way to setup the receiver and speakers using the autosetup function of the Denon AVR 3805 with Polk Audio RTi8 up front, CSi5 center, PSW505 sub, and FXi3 surrounds.

Itried using the autosetup routine, but most of the time it will set all the speakers as small. If I try to run the autosetup routine again, it will sometimes set the RTi8 as large... but usually sets it as a small speaker.

I feel that the front speakers can have more range, but intead the reciever is limiting the range and letting the sub take care of it. Without the sub, the speakers ahve a nice warm sound, with the sub the receiver automatically sends the lower frequency tot he sub. Maybe it is doing this because it is a pretty big room with wood floors.

Should I just run the autosetup without the sub to fool the reciever into giving the speakers a fuller range? then add the sub in by manually setting the crossover on the back of the sub?
