I've got a Panasonic SA-XR15 AV receiver hooked up via optical to my PS2. My problem is that every dvd i put on only plays via Dolby Pro Logic II mode rather than Dolby Digital 5.1. All of the movies i've tried are 5.1 dolby digital. Is there a further setting on the PS2 other than checking that optical is recognised in order to get Dolby Digital to come into action? Cheers for any response!

go to your AUDIO SETUP on your ps2 and set the DIGITAL OUT(OPTICAL) to On and then set DTS to On

Hi, I have a similar problem - except that I can't play dts encoded movies back. 5.1 audio tracks are fine. The menu option for DTS doesn't allow me to enable it - it is greyed out with no option to turn "on" - all other audio options are enabled - Except that one... Any help you might provide would be great. I have an Aussie machine with a DMS3 installed (Version 9). The discs I tried are Aussie and US. Jimmy |
