I am going to buy the HTB-505 from Kenwood. My TV has 2 compnent ins. I assume I can use the TV to switch DVDs (prog.scan)and DTV. But where do I put the Audio inputs on the Kenwood. Will this affect Audio quality?

The audio of your TV and DVD is going to play through the system. This is why you are getting a home theater, to hear the sound of the TV and DVD through a home theater setup. Your question as to wheather it is going to affect the audio quality is irrelevant. The system is going to amplify the sound of anything you connect to it. The fact that there are video inputs on it does not affect the quality.

Can you describe the hookup for this? DVD direct to the TV and an optical cable from the receiver to the DVD? How does the receiver get the message from the TV broadcast with this indirect connection? Does the DVD have to be on at all times?
