All,
I've had my Kenwood VR-407 for several years now, and it's been great. However, a few weeks ago my wife twiddled with some settings (she can't remember what was changed) and now the "Down Mix" light on my receiver is on all the time - this causes my rear surrounds not to work in any mode (DTS, Dolby Digital, etc...) and everything sounds terrible (radio, CD's, etc...) I've reviewed Kenwood's documents, but there's no mention of how to "fix" this problem. I've gone through and re-setup everything, but no joy.
Anyone here have nuggets of insight they could offer me? I'd really appreciate it.

Have you tried doing a hard reset? Meaning, reset the unit back to its factory specs? This information should be available thru their on-line support or even your owner's manual.
