Have a nice audio system and finally a place to hook into the Sony Wega TV and dvd player. We get great sound through speakers with dvd player via rca cables to receiver (Rotel RA 1070)....but the audio output from tv to receiver just doesn't seem to work even with the dvd taken out of the equation. I have tried every permutation I can think of and still no dice. I wonder are the audio outs on TV shot somehow or am I just missing something? Thanks for any advice.

While I am not familiar with those TVs, I would suggest looking in the on screen menu for an audio out on/off selection.
