I just purchased a Sony SLV-D300P DVD/VHS combo. I want to hook it up with my current home theater system, which includes a Technics Receiver (SADX950 I think) and an older model Zenith TV. I tried to hook everything up like the manual said, but it still seems like everything is analog. I did set the receiver and the DVD player to the proper settings like the manuals said to as well. The sound just doesn't seem right. Also, can I get true surround off the TV? All it has is the analog audio and the video in and out, plus an extra set of audio analogs that says "to external speakers" by it. I don't know if I'm hooked up wrong or have too many things hooked or what. Also, when just using the TV, I get a buzzing over all the speakers.
