Dear all,

I just bought ORB 5.1 along with yamaha RX V750. It is just one week and i have a month to test both. I'm very new to HT and not really know what are the yard sticks to find out performance of my system. I m using coaxial digital out (monster) from DVD player to receiver.

Please help me... i played couple fo DVD's but not really sure how good they are. At times my surround speakers just whispers.. like when i was playing "euro trip" dvd. Totally confused.. help me...

If I were you, I would consider returning them both and starting over - you can do better for a little more money.

If you go this rout, post again for advices to start over.

You will like the sound better.

Panasonic SA-XR70 sounds and Herman Kardon receivers sound better to me.

Also speakers like www.ascendacoustics.com sound way better to me.

You will like the upscale sound you will hear with these.

Liteon LVD payer is also ok as a dvd and a cd player.
