Hey all,

I bought a new Sony Home Theater receiver and the output for the sub is a single RCA.

My subwoofer, an older cheaper one, is part of an old "All in One" system I had. How can I make the old sub work with the new single RCA output? The sub right now is controlled by speaker wires only.

Is it possible to cut the end off a single RCA cable and use those two wires inside on the speaker wire side to connect the sub?

no, this single input is designed to accept signals from an LFE or subwoofer source and will accept low level inputs only and not high level speaker signals.
