I just purchased a HK 525 AVR and have two Floorstanding JBL NB series fronts and Surounds. They all are 8 ohms. I have a cambrige sound works Center that is 6 Ohms. My reciever is 8 Ohms with this hurt my new baby.

No, not at all. But... if you like your JBL's and plan on keeping them I would invest in a JBL center speaker.
