Hi - I just purchased a 50" Panasonic Plasma display which i have mounted to a wall that is about 5 feet away from my receiver, dvd, and cable box. the two front speakers are each about 5 feet away from the plasma and the center channel is right above it. I am experienceing two problems:

1) The speakers are producing a fairly loud "hum". This humming sound goes away if the plasma display is unplugged. Is there a way to fix this?

2) When the plasma is receiving the s-video tv input coming from the receiver, i see shaded bands of grey that move constatnly up the screen. This does not happen when the plasma is receiving the DVD input (which is componenet video coming directly from the dvd player). Is this a ground loop problem, and if so, how do i fix it?

Thanks for reading.
