Does the receiver in this set allow me to plug in my Gamecube (with analog audio inputs)? Since the set can decode Pro Logic II I would be getting surround sound with it too, right?

Yes. The left/right plugs (from Gamecube) connect to the left/right A/V input of the receiver. Then make sure that the receiver is set to Dolby Prologic II - Movie. Also, in the game setting. Make sure that the audio is set to Dolby Surround.
