Need suggestions! I'm looking into a plasma TV monitor w/audio out (10W) but no speakers. I would like to have the option to turn on only the TV without a receiver or turn on the TV and receiver and play a dvd movie using the same speakers from the surround sound. Is it possible to use the front speakers attached to the tv out and also have the fronts for the surround sound. Has anyboby been down this road before. The less buttons to push the better -such as turning off the audio on TV

Front speakers and have the fronts for the surround sound??? I'm rephrasing here and it is still confusing.
You want to use the front speakers as surround speakers? How many speakers do you want to use?

What you are asking is not possible without switches and resets of menus.
