I have 2-Snell EIII speakers connected to Rotel RX950AX receiver, looking to upgrade receiver for home theater and would like to use current snell speakers and buy compatible (surround, center and subwoofer). I am looking for reccommendations for receiver and speakers within budget of $700-$1000 for receiver and $1500-$2000 for speakers.

Someone recommended Yamaha RXV2400 and Snell .5 speakers? any comments
Thanks

Snell's are some of the best speakers around and deserve a good receiver or amp to drive them. The Yamaha does not qualify IMO. If you like your Rotel check out the Rotel 1055 or 1065. Others are NADt752 or 753 or the T762; Elite vsx45 or 53 or the Marantz7300 or new 7400. All much better than Yamaha in terms of build quality, power supplies[ thus power reserves] and less fatiguing in the long run. For speakers I agree that you should round out your system with the best Snell's you can afford. Good luck.
