I have narrowed down to the following speakers for my Marantz SR7300? - B&W DM603 S3 fronts, LCR60 S3 centre, DM600 S3 rears, ASW 650 sub -Monitor Audio S5 fronts, SLCR centre, KEF ci130 rears, Velodyne SPL-1000II sub - Klipsch RF35 front, RC35 centre, RS35 rears, M&K V125 sub -Wharfedale EVO30, EVO centre, Krix Atmospherix5 rears, Velodyne CHT12 sub. I welcome opinions, suggestions and recommendations on any of the above options before I make a final decision. |

John, I cannot comment on the Wharfedale"s but among the others with your Marantz I would prefer the Monitor's but would change that setup to some Monitor Silver 1's for surrounds. The Monitor 5 is an old model so is this something from a friend or someone selling their old system? I think the Klipsch are just plain harsh and overly bright and the B&W are great but to laid back to be an optimum match with Marantz. I have heard the Marantz/MA combo several times at my local dealer and it's a very good one. |
