I've order a Yamaha RXV2400 and a Denon AVR3803 online from US and Canada, can I use it in Australia? I know the plug is different, which is not a big deal. The power we use here is AC220-240, is it ok to use the electronic gods from US? I'm going to order a home theater speaker package - KEF2005.2/1005 or JBL scs160si or Bose lifestyle 10, which one is better suit the receiver above? Thanks for your time and help. |

Third question: KEF. In my opinion. By a mile. First question: Yes. But... Second question: US (like Japan) is 110 V; 60 Hz. Oz is 240 V; 50 Hz (like Europe). You should not just plug it in and hope, it could damage the equipment. Some electrical equipment can just be re-set with a switch at the back. However, the chances are you will need a transformer for the above changes to the electrical supply. These can be had from good hobby-type electrical stores and are not expensive. One transformer should be able to feed both units. Hope this helps. |
