My living room is pretty small, ~12'X 12' I'm planning to buy a Onkyo TX-SR701 A/V receiver. I'm new to this world, will appreciate a lot if some one give me some suggestion about how to choose speakers (how to match impedance, power, etc.) and which brands are good. Another question is how do you compare TX-SR701 and TX-SR601. 601 only has one pre-out for subwoofer but 701 has it for all the channels. Is it important that there's pre-out for each channel? Thank you! |

How much is your budget for speakers? The pre-out for each channel adds versatility to your receiver. Just in case you want to add a power amp, your options are open. |

My budget is $400 for two main speakers. I will have to buy the satellite speakers step by step. Is it okay just to connect two speakers first, for a 6.1 A/V receiver? |
