Well, now it's time for me to purchase speaker wire and HDMI cables for my new sound system. I went into Best Buy earlier and was led to the Monster Cable section. The gentleman suggested the Monster XP wire and the 700 HDMI cables. I will be connecting a TV, cable box and Playstation 3 to the receiver, so as I figure it, I need three HDMI cables. What is the best speaker wire and HDMI cables to buy for my new Denon/Def Tech system? |

Wow! The HDMI info is especially interesting. The runs I have are literally 2 feet or less. Crazy to think I was about to spend $210 on three HDMI cables. |

Just fyi I use Belkin cables in my systems. After all HDMI is just a form of network communication and Belkins been doing networks for years... Very decent HDMI cables can be had all over the internet for around $30.00 a pop. In my opinion the most important factor is the insulation properties to reduce cross frequency distortion / loss. |

I found these site to be increidable cheap and the products are great. I ran a 40ft HDMI cable from Mono price with no problems. You need more cable than just your run for moving things around. http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10240&cs_id=1024008 &p_id=3992&seq=1&format=2 |

I buy most of my cables from Blue Jeans. I've never used their HDMI cables, but I'm sure they're fine. |
