I have a Sony STR-SE501 but am having trouble getting the front right and left speakers to get a signal. I tried hooking up my center speaker which works to the front just to test and got nothing.

Is this a good receiver? Is it worth fixing? It cost like 500 dollars 7 or so years ago. Is it worth it to try to fix it or should I just get a new HTIB system. I don't want to spend more than 200 dollars for a new one.

I have UVerse with HD service and a new 42 inch HDTV and want home theater working right.

Thanks!

The rear speakers receive no input either.

This is a receiver that is part of HTiB. I would not recommend that you fix this receiver. Buy a new receiver, not a HTiB, possible one of last years models for your $200and reuse yor speakers.
