I would like to either buy a 65" or 57" sony HDTV wide-screen... to fit on a 15' wall (centered) by 19' long (couch 12-15' out)... should I buy the 65" or 57"

I think you are supposed to sit approx 2x the screen size away, so for a 65 inch you should sit 130 inches = 10 feet, 10 inches away. (For a 57, 114 inches = 9 feet 6 inches

It's actually suppose to be 3x the screen size for the proper specifications and viewing intended as far as picture quality. Otherwise you are going to get a lot of pixelation.
