Hello all! So I have a simple problem (I believe), which I hope has a simple fix- I just bought a new XBOX 360 with the HDMI output. I plugged that into my phillips flatscreen, on which the only audio out is coax. So I ran a coax cable that I got at best buy to my sony receiver and plugged it into the DVD/LD input, set it to DVD/LD and viola! Nothing! Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Everything else works fine...I am starting to get frustrated. Thanks! |

Pretty simple fix. You ran the cable from the TV to the receiver. Try from the Xbox to the receiver the only problem is that the Xbox use optical out on the Xbox cable. Running a cable from the TVs audio out does not always work the same, some are only for there built in HD tuner. |

Well, since the xbox doesn't have an optical out, how am I going to hook it up? I am assuming I would need some sort of special HDMI cable/converter? Thanks for your help |
