hi all. I have a 5.1 lg home cinema system. at what volume do i set each of the individual speaker volumes to on the menu screen for optimal viewing. Range from 0-6db. for now they all set to 0. I do get sound through all of the speakers.

The answer to your question can only be told by your ears. The only reason there is an adjustment at all is to compensate for room variations that require the speakers to be placed in different locations. See if this helps get you started:
