My house was wired for my old stereo which included a sub that used speaker wire inputs. I have recently purchased a new system that includes a larger sub that requires RCA connectors.

Rerunning the wire to include an RCA or coax is just not an option.

Can I use the 12/2 speaker wire (already run in the wall) with RCA connectors to power the sub?
